Welcome to Friday’s Craft and Chat! I am so glad you decided to stop by and spend a few minutes with me. I woke up this morning with something that I thought would never happen to me and that is I have nothing to say about anything. Yes, miracles do happen! I am enjoying this miracle so much the usual Melinda that would ask why is not here. Who cares why just enjoy! Dwelling on the why takes away the joy of experiences it. So, no why just thankfulness. That being said let’s take the experience and apply it to my card-making. Grab a cup of coffee and let’s dive into making our first Spring card.

Crafting Steps

Miracle, crafting and relaxing!

Since the snow is melted and the sun is shining and Spring is just around the corner, our card for today will express the fun color of Spiring with a little playfulness.

Steps:
Started with a 4 1/4′ by 5 1/2′ card base. Then I took 4 stripes of 1/2′ designer card stock and attached it to a piece of white card stock. I made a background on the white card stock using a fun dot stencil and blue and yellow distress inks. Onto the dot background with a black ink pad, I stamped a large floral image. With markers, I colored in the image.
For the sentiment, I punched out a small oval onto white card stock. I took my peg stamps and added a wreath around the oval and in the center I stamped I’m here for you. With pop dots, I attached the sentiment to the front of the card. Here is how it looks:

Miracle, crafting and relaxing!

Word of the Day

The word of today is relaxing. To relax in yourself is more on point. When you in this relaxed stage I need you to be in tune with who you are. It requires you to be awake and very much aware of all that is around you and inside you. If you relax in this way, I am sure you will be amazed at how much this does for you. I leave you with hopes of a relaxed day and weekend. Please find time to craft and create.
