Hello and welcome to Highlight Monday. I hope you had a great weekend filled with a lot of crafting. My weekend was a lot better than my week was. My father was released from the hospital. I thank you all for the prayers for him. He has a long road to recover but he is with loved ones and not alone. Please keep him in your prayers.
I am going to grab a cup of coffee and meet you in the craft room so we can get into our technique for Highlight Monday.

Crafting Steps

Eclipse technique

Today’s technique is called Eclipse. Eclipse is where you have a die-cut shape on your card and it is raised. To start the eclipse technique you will start by stamp a background stamp on two different sheets of paper one with light color ink and the other with dark ink. After you stamp the image you will put your letter dies on top of the background and cut out a word. With a solid piece of card stock cut the same word out three times. Attach the letter with glue. Attach the cutout background to a 4 1/4′ by 5 1/2′ card base. Put the raised letter into the cutout space and attach it with glue. Glue the light colored words on the dark backround and dark letter word on light background.  You  have  crated a card using the Eclipse technique. I find the larger the letters are the more it stands out. You could use your Cricut machine and your brother’s scaNcut machine to do the Eclipse technique too.

Word of the Day

The word of today is patience. When I looked up the word patience it says it was the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, trouble, or suffering without getting angry or upset. One would think that I would have the patience of steel because of my life experiences. This weekend I have failed the test of patience over and over again. Every time, I failed the test I also found myself out of control. My acceptance and tolerance level are low when it comes to my family. It made me realize some times no matter what my good intention is some things are out of my control and getting angry or upset is only doing me harm. Being aware of my weakness for my family makes me have to give it over to God. That is where I have to put my view of reality aside a let my faith abound.
Thanks for sharing your Monday with me. I hope you have a great week and find time to craft and create!
