May Flower In A Mother’s Day Cards!
Welcome to Friday’s Craft and Chat! I am glad we are together again. I have had been a busy week with having my six-year-old grandson with me. I am feeling my age with him around. If I could bottle up his energy, I would be a rich woman. I am thankful that he is healthy and very active. Today’s post will be shorter because I want to spend more time with my grandson. I also wanted to spend some time with you as well. How has your week been going?

Crafting Steps
It is nice to be back in the craft room. We just finished making Easter cards, and it is time to make Mother’s Day cards. Today’s card is the first card of my mother’s day series. Mother’s day cards are hard for me to make since my mother is not here to receive one. To get me in the mood to make mother’s day cards, I have to focus on the great mothers I have met.
Material:
Card stock white and light pink
A small piece of dark pink card stock
Inks in green, yellow, pink, dark pink, and black
A floral spread with match die
A Gateway die
A label die
A Sentiment
Glue
Foam tape
A die cutting machine
I encourage you to use the materials you have.
Steps:
- Take an 8 1/2′ by 11′ piece of card stock and cut it down to 5 1/2′ by 10′.
- Run the pink card stock through a cutting machine with the gateway die on each end.
- Clean up the pieces that the die-cut out and fold the two ends.
- Cut the 8 1/2′ by 11′ white card stock in half and then cut the halves into 4 1/4′ by 5 1/2.
- Run one of the white card stock through a die cutting machine with the matching floral die.
- Line the other white card stock under the piece of card stock you just cut out.
- Make some pencil marks so you will know where to stamp the floral image.
- Remove the cutout piece and stamp the floral stamp.
- Now add your inks to a block or your workspace and add a little water to it.
- Color the stamped image with the ink mixture to give it a watercolor look.
- Attach the stamp image to the gateway card base.
- On the back of the cutout piece of card stock, add doubled foam tape to raise the cutout over the stamped image.
- Stamp a sentiment onto a piece of dark pink card stock.
- Run the stamped sentiment through the die cutting machine with a label die.
- Attach the sentiment label to the front of the card base with two color gems.

The word of today is struggles. We all have struggled from one time to another. Some of our struggles are more difficult to deal with than others. Do you share your struggles with others? How do you handle your struggles? I hope you have a good support group in place to help you. When someone helps us with our struggles, we can deal with them better.
There are a lot of people that are struggling with depression. When I have dealt with depression, once I reached out to someone, I felt better. If you are dealing with depression or any other struggles, talk to someone.
